There Is Something Strange About Jennifer…..
Where do you think you hit him with a hammer?
“On his back, but I could not swing hard at all because I was weak. So, I just threw it down and tried to tase him. And me and him got in a fist fight when I was looking for my jewel charger under the thing by the friends.”

Snapchat literally caught this murder case. My name is Cameron.
Welcome to True Red Crime. This is the case of Jennifer Broxson. Now, I’ve spoken to Jennifer directly. She’s currently in prison, but she’s agreed to be interviewed by me on video. So, for you, I’m going to play her police interview now. It seems she lies out of her ass because I have her actual police report here.
After her interview, I’m going to come back to you and I’m going to tell you what really happened. But after hearing the interview, I want you to comment what questions you’d like me to ask her. But here is her interview. It is Thursday, October 22nd. It’s 2:50 p.m. I’m at Santa Ros or I’m sorry, Sacred Heart uh pediatric intensive care unit with Jennifer Broxson.
“Jennifer, just like I kind of said, there’s just I mean there’s, you know, there’s a whole lot of things going on and a lot of people talk to. So, just kind of want to hear what you have to say, what what kind of your side of everything is. Is it okay if that’s right?”
“You want to ask questions?”
“Yeah. I just kind of want to hear kind of your your side of the story, how you met, when all star.”
“Okay. We met um me and that boy met online when he slid up on a story that I shared about Trump. I um I screenshotted somebody else’s post about Donald Trump coming to Pensacola and they were bashing him and I screenshot it and reposted it and put the laughing emojis and he slid up and was like going off and saying like you you people are the a good reason to use our guns. And then after that, like a day later, a person added me and texted me and I didn’t know it was him on a fake account and he basically just”
“Where were you? What site were you guys?”
“Snapchat.”
“Snapchat.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Do you know what your your your ideas or you your username is?”
“My name is Baby Girl for Life_K_K and my name is Jennifer Marie on there.”
“Baby girl for life with the number four is spelled”
“number four and then the underscore with the letter K.”
“All right. I’m sorry. Keep going.”
“That’s okay. And he texted me off of a different account and I didn’t know it was him until we got in the car with him. I was like, I told my friend Allison, I was like, ‘This is that boy who was arguing me and saying that he would kill me because of the thing about Donald Trump.’ And she was like, she took it as a joke. She was like laughing about it cuz she’s a very jokeful person. And she was laughing and she was like, ‘It’s okay if he tries anything. We know how to fight. We’ll just beat him up and take his stuff.’ Like basically said, ‘We’ll just beat him up and just rob him.’ And then she started laughing and she said it as a joke and he started freaking out.”
“So if you argue with the boy but not full what what made y’all want to meet up with him?”
“We didn’t know it was him. He basically catfished me on another account.”
“All right. So what happened out? Where where where did he pick you guys up there?”
“And Pace”
“where?”
“By Alli’s house. And then we went to the loading dock cuz he was acting all nice and acting sweet like I didn’t know.”
“Loading. Are you talking about where it all happened? What made you guys go over there?”
“Because um he said he couldn’t go to We were supposed to go to downtown Pensacola supposedly and look at the water and stuff. And he was like, ‘Oh, we got to make this fast. I got to go to the hospital for my toe.’ That’s what he said. and we went down to the water and he was just acting weird and like talking to himself under his breath. And then we got in the car. That’s when I told Ally, I whispered to her. I was like, ‘That’s the boy who was ar I just realized that’s the boy who was arguing with me about Trump and said he would kill me.'”
“And she said it out loud like jokingly.”
“What’s she say?”
“She was like, ‘Oh, it’s not a problem. we know how to fight. We’ll just beat him up. We’ll just jump him and take his stuff.’ And she started laughing and then she was like just kidding. And that’s when he like got crazy and like he got out the car and put his hands like on his head and was spinning around in circles and saying stuff under his breath. And then he came in his car. Ally was scared so she jumped up front and she was like then she locked the doors. she was gonna call somebody and then we got out and we’re gonna go walking down the street because nobody would come pick us up. We didn’t know he had a gun or this other thing like you know the police things they have they press a button and it gets long and they like hit you with it.”
“He had one of those and he was um beating us with it. He was strangling Ally and I was hitting him.”
“Whoever you”
“I was hitting him with a hammer and I was tasing him. Whenever me and Allison go out with people that we don’t know, we always bring our tasers and our pepper spray. And so I was tasing him and I was hitting him. And before he started strangling Ally, he was hitting me with his fist.”
“Where’ the hammer come from?”
“It was her dad’s. She was like, ‘Bring this in case something happens cuz we don’t have any like weapons or anything.’ And the tasers that we have are like weak tasers. And she was like, ‘Bring this.’ And I was like, ‘Okay.’ And then he started beating us with a police thing and strangling Ally. And I managed to pull the police thing out of his hand and I threw it in the water. That’s when he grabbed the gun. He was like, ‘Walk to the road.'”
“Where did you throw it in the water at from? Did you run over to the water? Were you”
“I ran over to the water?”
“Whereabouts? like you know like there’s the dock and then there’s kind of like a gazebo area”
“the little open area I threw it out there like right in the edge of the grass on this side looking at it on the left side”
“left side of the gazebo or left side of the dock”
“left side of the part where they put in their boat the empty part”
“that’s just water on the like looking at that from the parking lot.”
“How far do you think you threw it?”
“Not far. right on the edge by the grass. And when I threw that in the water, that’s when I turned around and he got his gun and he told us to walk to the road. And Ally was like, ‘I need my shoes. They’re in your car.’ He was like, ‘No, walk to the road. I’m going to shoot you.’ And she opened his car door, the back door to grab it, her shoes, and her taser so he could go. And he shot her through the glass in the back of his car and it went in the chest and she fell on the ground. And he shot her again. And then he shot me. He shot me again. He shot at me again and again. Then he pulled off and he shot two more shots while he was driving away.”
“So when he was outside of the car, he drove off, said he shot at you. Then he was leaving. He was pulling away.”
“He put the gun out the window and shot again. like just kind of in the air or just towards y’all or could you tell or”
“towards us but it didn’t hit us and was it all? I didn’t see if it hit her again and I called the police and I tried to walk to the road but I could not make it to the road.”
“Well, can you remember where he was standing when you were shooting at Joel?”
“on the other side of the car and we were on the other side and then after he shot me I fell to the ground and acted like I was dead so he leave me alone the first time I shot him and he shot me again in my leg and then he shot right by my head on the ground and then he shot Ally again.”
“Is there anything in the car that’s going to belong to you guys?”
“Maybe our taser and her shoes and maybe the hammer. Unless he threw it out and threw our stuff out.”
“You said that you didn’t know he had a gun. When did you know when did you find out he had a gun?”
“When he pulled it out and when he started rumaging through his glove department for it.”
“I’m not here to pass any judgement or anything, but we’re going to look at look at the Snapchat account to try to see what Joel’s conversations was about.”
“He blocked my account and totally like when you block somebody on Snapchat, it totally deletes their account off your list.”
“Yeah, but Snapchat will have it. They’ll be able to provide that to us.”
“Okay.”
“Um what”
“and the um”
“like I’m not here to pass any judgment. I know this is all I do and I I see it all the time. You’re not going to embarrass me or yourself. I promise.”
“Okay.”
“Um what was your conversation about?”
“It’s okay. He was saying he wanted to meet up and stuff and I was pretty and stuff. Basically like manipulating me and I was like sure let’s hang out. I was like what time do you want to come? All this, all that.”
“So did Joel give him directions where to pick you guys up at then? Where were y’all sitting inside the car when when he picked y’all up?”
“In the back.”
“Both you were”
“cuz he had food in the front seat and”
“food for himself”
“and he gave us some cold food.”
“Before all this happened, when you guys got to the dock or got down to buy the boat, what what did y’all do? What were you talking about?”
“We were walking on the dock and Ally was asking him if he was in school and stuff and asking him what his name was and all this. He was like, ‘I go to FSU. I’m not from here. I have family in the bar that I’m staying with right now.'”
“What time do you think you pick up?”
“Probably around 1.”
“1:00 in the morning.”
“How long from start to finish would you guess that you were at the dog?”
“We were only there for about 30 minutes.”
“I haven’t got the footage yet, but FWC has cameras that boat off. There going to be anything on it that’s going to look like it doesn’t quite match up with anything you’re saying? Okay.”
“You know, like time wise, I know it’s it’s so hard to estimate time. I get that y’all were kind of there for about a half hour. Did you ever leave or did you were there and then it happened that you left? Was there an instance where you guys left and came back?”
“No, he left.”
“He left.”
“We stayed there. We couldn’t move after he got shot.”
“No, before that you guys didn’t leave and then come back.”
“Oh, yes we did.”
“Okay. What happened when y’all left and came back? Or why you why did you leave and then come right back?”
“Cuz I lost something and I went to the little picnic to find it.”
“You remember what you might have lost?”
“A little charger. I’m going to be honest. A little charger for this vape thing that I have. I mean,”
“so you guys came back looking for the for the charger for the vape pen. Did you find it?”
“Oh. Um, no. I think I actually might have left it at her house. I just thought I brought it with me. Probably cuz I could not find it.”
“There were two cell phones that we found that we believe believe belong to you and Ally. Which phone is your phone?”
“The little one.”
“I didn’t actually see the phone. I was just told there were two phones that were picked up. So, it’ll be obvious that one’s smaller than the other.”
“One’s big and has a clear case and has a and the phone is purple. And then one of them is a small black phone with butter a clear butterfly case. That’s my phone.”
“Butterflies is yours.”
“When do I get to get my phone back after you guys get the Snapchat stuff?”
“Well, it that depends. It It’s because it’s evidence that was left at the scene. So, it’s we have to hang on to it because you all did communicate on it. It’s evidence involved in the case. So, it really goes until the state attorney releases the case.”
“Okay. So, it it could be a good amount of time for possibly. Okay.”
“I can’t give you a definite answer. Okay. I’m sorry. You said Alie’s phone was purple. Allie’s phone was purple.”
“And it was a big phone.”
“You talked about the tasers that you guys had. What do they look like?”
“One was pink and one was black and Ally had the orange pepper spray, but it was pretty empty cuz she had an incident with some boys and they pepper sprayed her with their own pepper spray. So, it was basically all gone.”
“You said there was a pink taser and a black taser.”
“Okay. The pink taser. Who was Who has the pink taser?”
“Ally had the pink taser and I had the black one we traded. Black was hers. So, we traded.”
“Is there any reason that Ally would still have the black taser still when she left? Like in her pocket or anything?”
“No, he had it. Boy grabbed it cuz I dropped it.”
“I know, but Ally had it, but she she made it all the way to the hospital with it”
“with the black one.”
“Or the black one.”
“Oh, maybe he grabbed the pink one. I know he grabbed one,”
“but you had the pink one and you said you tried to tase him with it. Okay. Where do you think you hit him with a hammer”
“on his back, but I could not swing hard at all cuz I was weak. So, I just threw it down and tried to tase him cuz I was weak. Cuz he was hitting me on the head with the police thing. And me and him got in a fist fight when I was looking for my jewel charger, our new thing by the”
“Where’ you go in a fist fight?”
“Because of the stuff that was happening and I was that I said like I was laughing at the post about Trump and I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m sorry about that, but that was funny to me.’ And he started to get aggressive.”
“We took his phone too and there was a possibility his phone recorded kind of what was going on and still had a chance to review any of the stuff. So, I don’t want you to be caught off guard and I don’t want to be caught off guard if something is not adding up.”
“Okay.”
“Okay. When we check the reporting or anything on his phone, is anything going to be not going to be I know it’s hard to remember. You know, can’t always remember everything, but”
“there’s going to be a lot of foul language.”
“What do you want about what?”
“Arguing.”
“What were you arguing about?”
“I don’t really feel good right now, sir. I’m like out of it.”
“She probably gonna be here for a little while. Like if I came back in a day or two or maybe tomorrow and try to”
“Yeah. Okay. I don’t want I don’t want to push off. It’s going to be too much too hard. Okay. All right.”
Time ending is 3:11 p.m.
So, she claims that there was a catfish on Snapchat and then one thing led to another. But let me go through what the police report says. So October 21st, 2020, Jennifer Broxson and Aaron Lawson, they exchanged messages via Snapchat. Jennifer initiated contact to meet Lawson. During the conversation, she stated she was nearly 18. Aaron responded with interest. Now, the two agreed to meet at a park by the water. This was in Pensacola, Florida. October 2020, we’re talking. The messages contain flirtatious and romantic content suggesting a social or romantic encounter.
So now we get to 1:00 a.m. October 22nd. Aaron arrives at their house. He picks up Jennifer and Allison. Allison is Jennifer’s friend. Both of them entered the vehicle. They drove to a waterburger restaurant. Jennifer and Allison ordered food. All three remained at the restaurant for 30 minutes. Aaron, Jennifer, and Allison arrived at the Simpson River Fishing Pair parking lot at 1:30. All of them got out of the vehicle and they walked onto the fishing pair. They were there for around 30 minutes.
Now, when they got back to the car, Jennifer said to Aaron, “We got to be real with you. We run a business.” Jennifer and Allison then demanded that Aaron exit his vehicle and surrender his keys. Jennifer claimed to be in possession of a Glock 17 handgun. Aaron refused to comply with the demands. So then Jennifer engaged Aaron in a hand-to-hand fight, attempting to physically overpower him. Allison deployed pepper spray in his face. Aaron assessed a collapsible baton from his vehicle and struck both Jennifer and Allison multiple times. This was the stick that Jennifer was referring to in her interview. Jennifer then used the pink stun gun against Aaron. They then struck him with a hammer. Aaron then accessed a safe in his vehicle and retrieved a handgun. This took around 5 minutes. Aaron then shot his gun four times during this altercation. It penetrated the rear passenger window of the vehicle. Allison was attempting to reach into the vehicle at the time. He shot again and struck both Jennifer and Allison as Aaron moved around the vehicle. After discharging the firearm, Aaron entered his vehicle and drove from the scene.
And this is where Allison had a gunshot wound to the upper right chest, to the lower left abdomen, and a wound to the lower right thigh. Jennifer had a gunshot wound to the right cheek, to the right side of the neck, upper right shoulder, and upper left thigh. These are the images that you’re seeing. So then both Jennifer and Allison called 911 from the parking lot. Jennifer stated she could not breathe and she was shot three times. Aaron himself drove to a Waffle House in Pensacola, Florida. This is where he called 911. He reported he had been attacked during an attempted carjacking and he discharged his firearm in selfdefense, which according to the story, it’s true it was self-defense.
So then police go to the river fishing pier. Jennifer and Allison are transported to Sacred Heart Hospital and it was in that hospital where Jennifer’s interview took place. So Jennifer underwent emergency surgery for gunshot wounds. Fortunately, she survived. However, Allison was pronounced dead. The cause of death, gunshot wounds to chest and the abdomen, resulting in massive internal bleeding and organ damage.
Now, the following items were recovered from the scene. There was four spent shell casings, projectiles recovered from the scene and victims. They found the gun, they found the baton, the pink stun gun, the hammer, and the pepper spray canister. There’s also the shattered rear passenger window glass. Now, the police after this, as you heard in the interview, went and obtained the Snapchat messages. And what the police learned is that Allison and Jennifer would lure victims to isolated locations so they could rob them. And after interviewing Aaron, police learned Jennifer was the main culprit. So she was charged with robbery, aggravated battery, obstruction of justice, and attempted murder.
Even though Aaron is the one that pulled the trigger, police realized it was in self-defense. And in Florida, if you are going to commit a robbery and then someone dies in that robbery, you will get charged with a murder even if you didn’t do it. So Jennifer was sentenced to 20 years in prison for secondderee felony murder. She appealed her conviction and they told her to bug her off because, as I said, under Florida law, because someone died during the commission of a felony, Jennifer was charged and convicted for the murder. even though Aaron is the one that pulled the trigger, of course, in self-defense. Now, as I said, I’ve spoken to Jennifer. Um, in the next few weeks, I’ll have this interview with her, I hope.
“In Santa Rosa County, as we reported last week, 18-year-old Jennifer Broxson is charged with seconddegree felony murder for the death of a 16-year-old Pace Girl. Channel 3’s Rebecca Caster is live to explain why Broxson now faces life in prison even though she’s not the one who pulled the trigger. Rebecca Caroline.”
“According to this arrest report, Broxen and the deceased teen were friends and conspiring together to pull off carjackings. But in this attempt, shots were fired and the younger teen was killed. It happened in October at the Simpson River Boat Fishing Pier in Pace. In the arrest report, Broxson says she and 16-year-old Allison de James run a business together. And through social media, Broxson arranged for them to meet with an older man. Now, when the teens tried to rob and carjack him, the man fought back. The report says both the James Jains and the man had a gun and when Dean went for hers, the man shot both teens. The James died on scene. Broxson was hit in the shoulder and taken to the hospital. Assistant state attorney Mark Alderman says the man who shot them will not face the charges.”
“Based on our determination, he was he was attacked by these two girls and he was defending himself”
“because Broxen was committing the felony that ended in De Jane’s death. She will face the murder charges. The arrest report also says the teens were accomplices in a similar incident 11 days prior to De Jane’s death. This crime happened in Pensacola. The girls lured another man to the gas station and stole his truck. The victim dropped the charges after De James was killed. Now, in addition to seconddegree felony murder, Broxson also faces charges of robbery, aggravated battery, and obstructing justice. while she was 17 at the time of the incident.”
