Fed infant Fentanyl & Cocaine In Her Milk Bottle

I started CPR immediately and then Nick brought her over here and I’m like, “Get her to the hospital. She’s she’s already got to be dead.” I said, “What happened?” He goes, “I don’t know. I just got home. I just got home. I don’t know.”

Friends, today’s case involves a muppet of a mother, a skidark of a father, some cocaine, and fentinel. My name is Cameron. Welcome to True Red Crime. This is the case of Carissa and Nick Alexander. You see, their daughter was found face flat in the house, and she tested positive for cocaine and fentinyl. In fact, the baby’s bottle even had the same drugs in there. What the [ __ ] You ever heard that before? Unfortunately, their daughter passed away from an overdose. She was 8 months old. Now, instead of me telling you the story, I’m going to play you their police interviews, but I’m going to start with Nick’s mother. She’s going to explain their relationship in some detail. Crime scene photos will be displayed.

“But I don’t want to get in no trouble. No trouble because I’m scared I get I might get shot or something because of him.”

“Well, the thing is is my investigation requires me to talk to a lot of people and get a lot of information and then verify what’s true, not true, and where. So, where I get my information from is not necessarily something to be concerned about.”

“Yeah. I don’t want like Cararissa to come back. Is Cararissa know?”

“It’s just going to be We have information that this person um is he a sex offender?”

“I don’t know. He could be. I know he’s been in prison. He’s on probation.”

“The name smell.”

“It does. And it’s recent in a recent something I had in jail. He was just in the the Sarasota County Jail for shoplifting something, I think. And they let him off probation on tether and he moved here and he was on tether.”

“I had something recently. Okay. So Charles Schaefer lives over there.”

“Yes. And I’ve been trying to get him out of there.”

“Okay. Um and what about those other people like”

“Well, they don’t live there. They were just there. They were just I mean they my son owns a business.”

“Mhm. And um so it was Pete, Will and my son left to go to work and then they went to a religious thing where they I think they said that they had prayed because you know they they know that things are not well at their house. And anyway, my son and I told my son and them came home and they found the baby. She looked blue.”

“Who found the baby?”

“Will said he’s the one that picked her up first and Nick was right there and Nick started CPR immediately and then Nick brought her over here and I’m like, “Get her to the hospital. She’s she’s already got to be dead.” I said, “What happened?” He goes, “I don’t know. I just got home. I just got home. I don’t know. And I’m over there to Carissa and she’s like just out of it. Whatever. I’m like, what? WHAT? WHAT IS GOING ON?” She goes, “I don’t know. I don’t know.” And that’s it. That’s all I know. I didn’t go in. I didn’t go in because my son my son I was making sure he got in the car with the baby to get to the hospital.”

“When you say that Cararissa was out of it, what do you mean?”

“She’s always out of it. I don’t like to say it, but she she she’s a worthless mother. Worthless mother.”

“Does she use drugs?” [snorts]

“I don’t want the kids to get taken away, you know. But she is the problem. She is the problem.”

“Well, do you want the kids to be in a safe place or do you want to not disclose information and the kids stay with an unsafe mother?”

“No. No. No. I mean, my son my son can I mean, my son has been to rehab three times, got clean, and he comes back to her paraphernalia here, and [snorts] he’s he can’t stay clean. And I’m not trying to say that my son is better because it takes two to do everything, but my son may.”

“Listen, addiction is a monster. It is. And it does.”

“It’s toxic. It’s toxic.”

“Absolutely toxic. And if they have addiction issues, the best thing we could do is know about that so that we can try to get them some help that they need. Keep the kids safe. Nobody wants to pull the kids away from their parents. But I certainly don’t want I don’t want to leave children either in the hands of parents who are not capable at this point of taking care of them.”

“Capable. I mean, he’s the one that showers them and he’s the one that carries two kids on his”

“Well, and again, that’s something that that DCF is going to, you know, they’ll do their investigation on that. So, I wouldn’t worry too much about that right now.”

“I’m not trying to say my son is perfect because he’s not. But his companion or his wife, I mean,”

“what does she use? What’s her drug of choice?”

“Well, I think they’re using fentanyl, crack, and whatever else.”

“I think she is. I don’t know what my son is doing. He’s looked pretty He’s been not been doing much lately. I noticed that he is just much more on in control. Do you know if um if she if mom does she inject? Is she an IV user?”

“Okay.”

“When she came over here and you said she was out of it, do you think she was high?”

“Oh, yeah. She’s always high.”

“No, I mean I’ve been trying to fix this situation with them, but you know,”

“you can only do so much. They are adults.”

“And like I said, addiction is a is a”

“horrifying thing. Horrifying.”

“It’s hard, you know, to to get from that.”

“Okay. said they came in together. There was three guys, okay?”

“They all came in together and Will is my daughter passed away two years ago. And Will is my daughter’s ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend or whatever. I can’t get right. But yeah, he is so close to those kids. I mean, he he he loves those kids. He love those kids. And I think what happened is they just came in and Will happened to see that the baby was blue and he got Nick and he’s like, “Something’s wrong with that baby.” And Nick immediately did CPR is what I’m told. I don’t know that that could be”

“okay.”

“Right. You know, that’s just what I’m told. And Pete told me the same thing. Pete Sers, I think you guys might have talked to him.”

“I don’t know if that’s the case cuz I was not there. That’s just what I’m told. And I know my son was just a mess when he came over here. And he’s like, “Mom, I don’t know what to do. I What happened? I don’t I’m like, “What happened? Did she fall? What happened?” He goes, “I DON’T KNOW. I JUST GOT HOME.””

“Who was holding the baby when they came over?”

“Nick was holding the baby when when he came over. Just Nick. Nick came over and Will was in the car waiting for him. Okay.”

“But he he tried to put the baby in the shower cuz he didn’t know, you know, what to do. And I’m like, “Get her to the hospital now.” And I mean, they they ran to I mean, they ran and got to the hospital, but I think she was there on arrival. I don’t know.”

“What makes you think that?”

“Cuz she looked like she was deceased while she was here. To me, she was blue. I think I think they told me um when they I’m the only person that has talked to my son that I know of from the hospital and I’m the only person I think that unless I don’t know if his wife has talked to him. I have not I’ve not talked to her but the hospital called me and said that your son wants to talk to you and I’m like is the baby okay? Is the baby okay? And he’s like, “No, no, no, no.””

“Yelling.”

“And um the medical examiner’s here, so I I’ve got to cut this short.”

“Um, so we’re trying to figure out obviously everything else, you know. Uh, everybody has different stories just like I’m sure you’re hearing all these different stories. Um, so that’s why we’re, you know, doing these interviews is try to piece everything together, you know, try to trying to understand how this could happen.”

“Um, I want to come back to, you know, I asked about, you know, drug use in the house. You said, um, maybe Nick, you’re not sure. You never saw it, but maybe, um, you did.”

“No, she doesn’t. She doesn’t, but she’s just crazy.”

“So, she never You never saw her and she never seemed like impaired or anything to you or um”

“she’s I just think she’s crazy.”

“Okay.”

“But that’s all I’ve never like I said, you know, if anything was going on um it was in the bedroom.”

“Okay.”

“And see, I don’t go in the bedroom. That’s that’s you know, that wasn’t my job to clean their bedroom. Their, you know,”

“right?”

“Mine was to take care of the kids.”

“It sounds to me like you did you your job very well. You know, it seems like the the family, you know, you were very helpful to the family. So, um you seem to be very attentive what’s going on with her and I I appreciate that. I’m glad that we were able to talk to you about this.”

“Uh so, you never saw um drugs lying around or anything crazy like that, right?”

“I don’t know. No.”

“Okay.”

“And DCF came there plenty of times.”

“Okay. um because I would be there and they would come there and I know that, you know, I can’t let them in the home because there it’s not my home. But I took I took the kids to the door and let them take pictures.”

“That’s good. I’m sure DCF appreciated that. Uh, I know that they were they had some difficulty sometimes, but”

“um you uh is there any reason to think that any of the kids or the dogs or any anything may have gotten into some of the drugs at any point or could have gotten into any of the any drugs?”

“I uh like I said, I don’t know. I didn’t see it. I don’t know if it’s true. I heard that there was a dog taken to an animal hospital.”

“Okay. Do you know which dog it was?”

“Um, one of the guy’s girlfriends. The dog’s name is Bean.”

“Okay. So, not not one of the family dogs, but someone else’s dog.”

“Bean.”

“The dog’s name is Bean.”

“When was that?”

“It’s Chelsea Taylor’s dog.”

“That’s um a girl that comes there. Um, [music] sorry.”

“Charles Schaefer’s girlfriend.”

“So, Charles lives at the house, right?”

“He did.”

“Okay. Did she live at the house?”

“She came there and stayed a couple nights, but um they told her that they didn’t want her there because she she was going through Chris’s um and taking stuff. She was taking Chris’s clothes um and some of my stuff came up missing. Yeah. A little dog like”

“Do you know where they took this dog?”

“No, I just know that it’s supposedly overdosing and went to bed. No, this is Chelsea and this girl is just and she said that the dog died and they had to take it to the vet and and it came back to life, you know.”

“Oh, goodness.”

“Okay, that’s story.” [laughter]

“Yeah. So,”

“um you you mentioned obviously the issues with Chelsea being at the house. Um that actually brought up uh we we had heard at some point that one of the reasons for your departure apart from the co was that you had an argument with Charles. Can you tell me about that?”

“Uh so Chelsea cuz I hadn’t been eaten cuz I I was taking care of the kids and I I lost my appetite. I wasn’t you know even thinking.”

“So um she he made three stakes.”

“Okay.”

“And she only ate some of it. She’s like, “Hey, Tanya, you want the rest of it? Like, this is a big steak.””

“And I was like, I like, “Yeah, I’ll eat it.” I said, “But um can you put it in the microwave on bed? I’m changing her and that and then um when I go out there to make her bottle, I’ll eat.””

“So, she’s like, “Okay.” And so, I went to go and get it and it wasn’t there. And uh so I turn around, I was like, “Hey, do you know where that plate of food in the microwave is?” Like Chelsea said,”

“she he goes, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. There’s no [ __ ] plate of food. There’s no plate of [ __ ] food for dinner.””

“I was like, “Okay.””

“And next thing I know, um, I hear Diesel like this and I turn around, Nick runs in the kitchen. He gave the dog the steak, the plate of food.”

“Charles did.”

“Yeah.”

“Yeah.”

“So Nick’s like, “What are you doing?” like you know that Diesel does not eat with anybody. He has to eat by himself. Why would you do that?”

“Yeah.”

“And he goes he goes, “Well, it wasn’t going to get eaten.””

“And he goes, “Kanya just came out here for the plate of food and you you gave it to the dog.””

“And he goes, “Well, I made three steaks, not and not for everybody else to eat.””

“So I was like, “So Nick’s like, “So um I can’t give anybody my food.””

“Mhm.”

“So, I went in the room and um and I told him, I said, “Listen, I’m I’m going to go ahead and leave. For one, I’m sick and I can’t I’m not going to let somebody talk to me like that.””

“Mhm.”

“I said, “I’m sorry.” And I just I don’t”

“And that’s when I was I came here and I slept for 2 three days cuz I was just”

“Yeah.”

“The”

“Yeah.”

“So, that was kind of a final straw sort of thing like you were already sick and you’re like”

“Yeah. Yeah. because I was already sick and I was just, you know, trying to get through that and then he just kind of”

“I was uh”

“draw the birth of camel’s back.”

“Yep. It’s like you ain’t my boyfriend. You will for one, no man’s going to talk to me like that.”

“Yeah.”

“And like we were all like”

“like why did he do that?”

“Yeah.”

“Like I meant the steak was like this big and she had only ate a little bit. Like we were all like”

“Yeah. Didn’t make sense. It’s like unprovoked sort of thing.”

“So, and that that’s his thing. I don’t know. He just didn’t like me and I didn’t like him because I felt like he was trying to get me out of the house. Anyway,”

“did she say you know how the dog overdosed?”

“She said that that the dog got into something.”

“Got into something.”

“Yeah.”

“What something did the dog get into?”

“She didn’t say.”

“What do you think the dog got into?”

“She is always saying that Bam sells drugs. So I don’t remember.”

“Bam is Charles.”

“Yeah. Yeah.”

“So like I said, I never seen nothing. So”

“I don’t know if she was just frightened and said it. I don’t know.”

“Okay.”

“Like [snorts] my biggest role there was the kids.”

“No, I I understand all that. Um we’re just again we’re trying to get a a complete picture of of the house. You know what I mean? Because we know a bunch of people live there or were living there or, you know, visited and and it’s a lot of pieces for us to put together to try to, you know, to paint the bigger picture.”

“You said that she was getting bottles every couple hours, 3, four hours. She was eating, healthy eater, um,”

“healthy pooper, changing diapers often.”

“Yes.”

“Okay. Um,”

“I know you said the shi”

“towards the end she started getting her stools got started getting uh constipated.”

“Okay.”

“Had to switch her formula at when she was first born”

“because um she would spit it up a lot. She was having reflex.”

“Okay. She was born drug addicted, right?”

“Yes, she was. And they were really surprised because usually they stay in the the hospital 7 to 10 days”

“and and she was”

“and she wasn’t a preeie either.”

“She’s welldeveloped. So”

“yeah, and they only had to give her two um shots of volume.”

“Okay.”

“And then she got to come she got to come home. Like she only um they um said that she was eating fine. she kind of um could have eaten a little bit like they they were consume they were concerned cuz she went from eating so uh like one of them little bottles to you know not eating so much. So they took her up to the the NICU.”

“Mhm.”

“And she started u running a slight fever and they said they only had to give her two um shots of volume and then she of course got to come home.”

“She bounced back.”

“Yeah. like they said that she’ll have a a little bit of tremors,”

“you know. So, um that you had to smoother in the you know to you know the the dogs and everything. Yeah. So, like you know if it got loud sometimes she’d be like”

“a little startled.”

“Yeah. But”

“that could very well be a baby thing too though.”

“Yeah. But she grew out of that. That was only when she was an infant.”

“Okay. So otherwise well adapted, well adjusted.”

“Mhm.”

“Um, when she did sleep, I know you said pack and play or with you on the sofa. When she slept with you on the sofa, how did she sleep?”

“Right here.”

“And And you say right here. So like you’re you’re touching your shoulder. Was she next to you?”

“Yeah. She was on me like she would be laying right here. And her she would have her head like this”

“like that.”

“So she lays in the in like the crux of your arm between your body and your arm”

“with her head kind of on your on your chest.”

“Yeah. I would have her on, you know how the couch is like this? We would sleep at this side and I’d sleep right here and she would sleep right here.”

“Okay.”

“So, she wouldn’t roll off.”

“Right. Yeah.”

“And she always Did she stay like that at night or was she a mover?”

“She was a mover.”

“Yeah.”

“Yeah. She would get up and then she’d crawl over and lay across my chest.”

“Did um Did she sleep through the night or did she get you up every couple hours?”

“No, she slept through the night.”

“Okay. So, about how long would she sleep? Um, we would go to sleep about 10:00 and wake up at about 6:00 or 7:00.”

“Nice.”

“And then”

“she was a she was just a nighttime mover. Wiggly.”

“Mhm. Right.”

“You know, I I know you’ve had a bit of a history yourself.”

“Mhm.”

“Method clinic.”

“Clearly. Yeah. Clearly you have recovered and are”

“in control,”

“handling your business quite well, which is incredibly commendable because I know how difficult it is to do that. Um, Carissa at some point had been in recovery. Nick at some point had been in recovery. Um”

“yeah,”

“we’re kind of getting the impression that um based on statements by people that Nick has struggled with his sobriety because Cararissa was not sober and she was a negative influence to him. Is that a fair statement?”

“I don’t know. I met I’m gonna say from from how what I know about recovery and I’ve been in relationships in recovery and I’ve relapsed in recovery and I know I was with the guy for eight years and I lost my sister and I relapsed and for him to protect his he ended up leaving me. M”

“so if you want it that bad then you’ll take that situation out”

“but that notwithstanding you know the his decision to remain with her or not notwithstanding”

“right”

“do you feel that Cararissa may have been an influence on his”

“he never left that’s why that’s why I when people say did she get drugged I’m like she never left that’s why I’m like”

“but people were in and out of that house”

“Right.”

“When you said yourself that Bam, you know, may have been dealing drugs.”

“I mean, let’s be let’s be fair. You know, I would like to speak candidly here. Um, Peter Sers and Charles Schaefer have”

“an incredible extensive history of narcotics.”

“So, Cararissa doesn’t have to leave in order to get anything would be a fair statement,”

“right? Um, my question is leading up to the there days where you noticed her to be high.”

“I’m trying to think cuz I really didn’t I just maybe cuz she but I thought she was tired. Maybe.”

“Would you Let me put it on from what I can’t say. Yes or no? Because”

“that’s fine. That’s fine. I’ I’ve lived there and I’ve seen,”

“you know,”

“her be ran down.”

“Yeah.”

“So, I can’t say.”

So, that’s the end of Tony’s interview. I’m now going to play you a snippet of Nick’s interview. The audio is really, really bad. That’s why I haven’t showed you more so far. Let’s see what he says, then I’ll tell you the outcome of this case.

“So, what did you use last night?”

“You used cocaine. You shot cocaine up. Nick, I’ve tested a lot of dope and needles and I’ve never came across liquid cocaine.”

“You just put it in the water. I’m not”

“You put it in water?”

“Yeah. Just”

“You’re not diluting with any anything?”

“Cocaine and water.”

“And you’re putting that in a syringe and you’re shooting that up?”

“Yeah.”

“Is that something that you normally do?”

“I’ve been acting.”

“So, let me tell you, Nick, cuz I’m going to I’m going to be very truth with you. I’m going to piss test it. You’re going to pop for cocaine. You’re not going to pop for anything else. Tell me, did you use anything else beyond cocaine last night?”

“Marijuana. Fentanyl. What was the last one?”

“Fentanyl.”

“Fentanyl?”

“Yeah. Something was”

“all last night.”

“Last night?”

“Well, no.”

“You asking me to my sister?”

“Yeah.”

“But I’m saying last night, what did you do?”

“Just cocaine.”

“When you woke up this morning to function, what did you do?”

“You smoked cocaine?”

“Last night I shot my room at night.”

“Okay. What time was that this morning?”

“10:11.”

“Last night when you got high, was Cararissa also high?”

“Was she with you in the laundry room?”

“No.”

“Was she smoking crack?”

“No.”

“Was she shooting cocaine with you”

“this morning when you smoked cocaine? Was she smoking with you?”

“When she woke up, she came in in the bathroom. Yeah.”

“Okay. Did you guys smoke together?”

“Yes.”

“Yeah. Like one she went back.”

“What time did Cararissa come in the bathroom?”

“Same time as you. 10 or 11. Yeah, she woke up when I was leaving.”

“Is it possible that you guys got high this morning? I’m not saying Listen, Nick, I’m not saying that it’s intentional.”

So, as you can see, Nick is quite dumb, but to conclude, the victim was found laying flat on their stomach. The autopsy showed that they had fentinyl and cocaine in their system. And when the um when they did the drugs test on the milk bottle, there was also cocaine and fentinel in there. They were feeding this to their baby. Why? We don’t know. But Cararissa was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Nicholas was sentenced to 17. The reason why I referred to the victim as just the victim in this story, because if I go into more details about their age and etc., YouTube will demonetize it. So, please keep that in mind.
